Identity and Creativity

I believe that true identity is found… in creative activity springing from within. It is found, paradoxically, when one loses oneself. Woman can best refind herself by losing herself in some kind of creative activity of her own.

-Anne Morrow Lindbergh

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself has been an axiom of mine for quite some time. I used to try to lose myself in men and drugs, but I’ve given that up for the high of healthy living…Again. Oops.

One lowers your vibrations, the other raises them…but there’s something so relieving about stopping the fight to better yourself…a narcotic haze is my preferred state, and I could wallow in that until my existence ended…but apparently, the universe has other plans for me. Damnit.

To forget, to lose oneself…if you perfect yourself through mind and body, and move closer to who you are meant to be. That’s the holy and noble quest, man, the fight we’re all intended to do… To help ourselves so we can help others.

Writing helps me more than anything else, healthy friendships with women is another great saviour of mine, but a difficult beast for me to conquer. I’m used to doing dumb drugs with dumb guys and getting incredible sex out of it, and well, that’s a hard thing to stay off of.

*twiddles fingers* I’m going to make it, this time, though.

Can someone give me iv dopamine plz? For science?
